ABOUT TEACHING TOTES
SM
Teaching Totesâ„ are rental play-based learning activity boxes that give caregivers access to a fresh rotation of toys and learning materials every two weeks for the littles in their life!

Children often tire of their own toys and books very quickly. Their parents and caregivers are then stuck with a house full of things that are just collecting dust. With a Teaching Toteâ„ , you get new materials every two weeks! As a bonus benefit, Teaching Totesâ„ are filled with great ideas for materials you might like to buy for birthday or holiday gifts. Essentially, you can take toys, games, and books out for a test drive before buying!

Not every stay-at-home parent has a background in education, but every Teaching Toteâ„ specialist does! Use Teaching Totesâ„ as your resource to enrich your child’s early childhood experience!

Each Teaching Toteâ„ revolves around a specific theme or subject area. Some examples include:

Fairytales
Robotics
Opposites
Space
Colors
Shapes
Farm
Celebrating Diversity
Teaching Totesâ„ work well as a stand-alone curriculum to be used within the home for parents looking to engage their children in educational play OR as a supplemental tool to enrich the curriculum in childcare programs, homeschool co-ops, Prenda pods, afterschool programs, Scout troops, and more!

Each Teaching Toteâ„ (and each Teaching Tote specialist) is unique, so not every tote comes with a prescribed constellation of materials. However, examples of what you can expect to find in there are:

toys
games
books
puzzles
dress up costumes
Montessori-inspired activities
song cards
science experiments
sensory materials (like play dough and sensory bins)
crafts (with all the prep work already done for you)

Every tote comes with easy-to-follow lesson plans that explain how to use each activity or material and give suggestions for how to modify it for various skill levels.
